The Roland-Garros Square
A privileged place of life in the heart of the Philippe Chatrier Court
Le projet
Context
The French Tennis Federation wishes to transform its federal restaurant, located behind the presidential stands of the Philippe-Chatrier Court, into a more intimate and privileged place for a multi-purpose operation: VIP club, restaurant, seminar space.
Insight
To create a hybrid living space revisiting the codes of the English club.
Realization
W has designed a space that is both evolving and distinctive, featuring the emblematic clay court from floor to ceiling in a range of materials and colors that recall its plurality: winter or summer clay, wet or dry clay.
To reinforce the exclusive character of the space, a selection of artistic works, objects and original books allow visitors to discover or rediscover the emotion, grandeur and richness of the heritage of this legendary tournament. An exhibition from the FFT's collections, which punctuates the course from the club area, more intimate, to the restaurant area, more conventional.
A project delivered turnkey, realized in the design&build format for an end-to-end control of the creative intention until its realization.
